This is part of its accreditation with the CTIA Authorized Test Laboratory program to help manufacturers confirm their IoT device security features. IoT devices continue to find new industries and use cases in today’s complex world. Cybersecurity has

become one important consideration when implementing IoT solutions. With this test service, 7layers – a Bureau Veritas company – can provide manufacturers a way to stand out through verification of their IoT devices cybersecurity features.

“Unsecure IoT devices pose a challenge to consumers and networks alike. By offering CTIA Cybersecurity Certification testing for IoT Devices, we enable our customers to validate the security features of their IoT devices in the market” said Fred Yang, Vice President, Global Market Strategy and Key Accounts, of Bureau Veritas.

The CTIA IoT Cybersecurity Certification will help verify that certified IoT devices (cellular and Wi-Fi-enabled) meet a security standard outlined by the certification program. IoT device manufacturers may select the certification that best suits the complexity and sophistication of the device.

As a leader in wireless testing, 7layers continues to add new accredited test services to meet customer needs. Device manufacturers face an increasingly sophisticated market for IoT devices and with 7layers, manufacturers have a partner in wireless testing who can meet their evolving needs.
